A little pick me up?

Once again it's Dr.Digi friday on the blog and I am here with Pick Up Pup!  And yes, before you say it... it is a DOG, not a CAT.....oddly it looked a lot more like a dog before I coloured it up, lol! (Just regard it like the blue or gold dress meme!)

Loved colouring this one! I did actually pick a real breed of dog for the colour scheme, and I pretty much stuck to it but.... I see a dog but I am aware of the slightly feline issues! Coloured in as normal with the polychromos and a touch of posca pen! If you are interested in a step by step fur colouring demo you can find it here.

Here is the digi in the shop:

And here is a close up of my version:

Added a sentiment and some stars/bling from the stash to finish. Background paper also from the stash.

That's it for today, thank you for joining me. If you are interested, below is a link to the Dr.Digi's House of Stamps Shop, worth a browse, especially when you need something novel!

Watson found the best seat in the house!

Hi again! It's a friday again, hurrah and I'm back with a Dr.Digi DT card. This digi is called "Best Seat in the House" and Watson is looking beyond comfortable!

Here is the actual digi in the shop:

And here is a close up of my version:

I coloured him, as normal, with polychromo pencils and decided to go with a marmaladey colour scheme, leaving out several stages at the end of my colouring process where I add in darker/blacker shading and other highlights. The result is flatter but warmer, and I kinda liked it!

The font is Mister Sirloin again, it's beginning to be a bit of a "go to" I feel, but I like how it matches the stamps! I printed the digi and sentiment directly onto the topper and then coloured it.

I 3D foam mounted it onto a 7x5 kraft card blank covered with a wood effect backing paper from the stash. Added a bit of weird bling to finish!

Thanks for joining me today. Please pop by the shop to see all the other cool animal images Dr.Digi has to offer!

Practically Perfect!

Quick adhoc post today! I have been lucky enough to colour up this beautiful stamp by Sweet Escape Digis! This is Mary Poppins! She is actually a freebie, I know, freebie! If you make any purchase from the Sweet Escape Digi Shop you get her for free! (Please allow up to 24 hours after purchase to receive her.)
She was great fun to colour as well, and superbly drawn  - makes the colouring sooo much easier!

Lets begin with the beautiful digistamp I used:

And after quite a few hours of polychromo scribbling, here is a close up of my version of her:

The final result was very glossy and thus very hard to get a nice photo! Argh! I just used polychromos and my white posca pen for this, it's a speedy way of doing spots for sure. I colour the clothing completely first, then add white spots with the pen and then go over any spots in shaded areas with a dark colour, so they become shaded too.

Fonts are Papyrus and Rage Italic. Added some corner bling to finish.

Why not pop to the Sweet Escape Shop on Etsy and see all the lovely things they have on offer! Find something you fancy and buy it to get this awesome extra digi!

Seventies inspired "Thinking of you" cards.

Hi again! Quick post today, I had to make up a batch of Sympathy/Thinking of You Cards for my own use. I like to have some in stock so I don't have any delays in sending them, it seems a thing you should be prompt about.

I decided to go with a bit of a seventies retro flavour and this is the set I made.

I masked off a column on the left hand side of the topper and then stamped with distress oxides,  Gathered Twigs, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Aged Mahogany.
The stamps I have used for the columns and the single flowers/seedheads are from Elusive Images, quite ancient and I'm not sure where you'd get them other than ebay, or old shop stock sales! (I have a feeling that Elusive Images was absorbed by, or became, Chocolate Baroque, but let me know if you know different please. I can't remember for sure!)

I used the "thinking of you" sentiment from the  Messages with  Flourish set from Hero Arts, one of my favs! I think they might have re-released it with a bit of an upgrade, it's still in their shop despite me having had it for a looonnnng time.
The stamp behind the sentiment is from the stash and I haven't labelled it so cannot offer more clues. If I spot it I will add a link in here. It's a retro 70's art type set.

I mounted the greetings on pearlescent brown and terracotta cardstock from the stash. I stamped and cut out a few of the elements from the Elusive Images set to use separately on the right hand side of the card. Did something different on each card.

Ended with a few gems, pearls or glitter pen on each card, just a little bit to make them special, but not too blingy to be distasteful for sympathy occasions.
