Beau and more later....(Part 1)

Sharing a pair of cards today featuring two of the newly released stamp sets from Barbara Sproatmeyer! She is one of the artists/illustrators at Whimsy Stamps and Beau (and later Colton) are two new Polka Dot Pals released today! Both with an artsy vibe!

Here is Beau, she has spent all day decorating her brother's (Colton!) art studio. I like to invent a little narrative as I colour. I know, it's bonkers. There is a clue to the geographical location of this studio within the picture!

Apart from the sentiment, masking tape and room background all of these stamps are part of the set! Just tonnes of options for creating a decorating or painting scene with them. I was spoilt for choice.

Here is the full stamp set:

And here is my creation close up:

She is on kraft card and I coloured her with polychromo pencils. I added a few touches of white posca paint and white gel pen. Sentiment made on the computer and is Mister Sirloin font.

I didn't have a background paper that I liked so I made one! I used distress oxides also on kraft paper and then cut down to size. This is one of my most used Hero Arts Sets, Brush Strokes AC026.

Bling was from the stash, and I am really happy with how she came out - adding a smear of paint on her face really made me happy with her!

Thanks for joining me for this post, in a couple of hours I will post part 2, Beau's brother Colton! Why not check out Barbara's blog to see her makes with the new releases next?

New Release for LBBS!

Hi again folks. It's the first of may so exciting to see the new releases at Little Blue Button Stamps! This is the fabulous new Mushroom house digistamp!

I coloured it with polychromos and couldn't resist going for the obvious and making it into a fabulous new home card!

Think the backing paper might have been a christmassy one, but I needed some red and green! :) Font is Wooden Nickel NF.

Thanks for reading! If you are interested in exploring the shop to find more super digistamps, please click the banner below!

Card-io and Hobby Art mix!

I like the little fiddly stamp thing but I am not sure it likes me ;) The wreath on this didn't take long using distress inks with "Branching Out" and "Emily's Garden" sets from Cardio, but the middle section of the welsh cottage took me hours!  Eventually, after trying many clever things, I opted to stamp them in black and colour them with copics. Job done!

I stamped the scene from the Hobby Art set called "Old Barn" onto a diecut circle and coloured it with copics, then 3D layered this onto the wreath stamped in distress inks.

I used the font "Monterey BT" for their names and the greeting and printed them out on the PC.
Background paper is from Mid Summer Mornings by Tonic. I added some stickles to finish.

New card and new digi! :)

Seem to have been waiting ages to post about this new digi! I created it to use on my SIL's birthday card, so have had to wait til she received it to post! I am not a patient person :)

This is the card that I made for her, I went for a wrap around image, so on the front and back! Unsurprisingly I printed the digistamp onto the kraft card and then coloured it with Polychromos pencils, then added a greeting. I designed the stamp to be a new home image hence the stamp is called "Home is where the cat is" but she is interested in camping so it was fine for her birthday card too!

New Home!

Card I made for my friend Norms, for her new home :D

So a little bit inspired by "Up" but using a balloon die by Joy and a silhouette house cut out by me! Background is distress reinkers on glossy card stock. Clouds by Joy too.

Think I can confirm I am a fan of Joy dies, they cut out brilliantly.  Because the die is meant to show the embossing, which on the black was a bit indistinct, I actually cut out around the balloons a little.

New Home Card

Commissioned New Home card! A very specific order, with lots of details, so I drew and coloured an image to fit all the different things to be included.

I then added a sentiment and a thought bubble (as requested) to the dog. I went with a very simple layout as I thought it looked busy enough! I do hope they liked it :)

Yesterday's Cards.

Had a good card making day yesterday and finished a few customer orders. Had a request for more black pug cards!

New Home Pug was loosely based on a Pinterest picture (I'll come back and add a link when I find it again.) and I attempted to recreate the idea in a vintage style using some Santoro Mirabelle card and tissue paper. I am not sure the curtain worked but I might have another go with material at a later date.

Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, can't find anywhere better!

The second card was a birthday card for a pug!

First off, I printed out the number "2" to fit onto a 14cmx14cm piece of paper. (Which in turn would go onto a 15cmx15cm card blank.)

I used some pug photos from google image search as inspiration and did a pen and ink image inside the shape of the number 2. I then added crosshatch style shade to give the image a bit more clarity.

I cut out the two (Getting rid of some messy edges), mounted it onto black card  and 3D foam mounted it onto the 14cmx14cm stripey paper (American Crafts) and then matt and layered this onto black card and finally the silver card blank.

Both cards dispatched today to the customer.
