Trotsky and his bone!

Happy Friday Folks! Back with another project on my Dr.Digi DT day! This is Trotsky!

I have actually coloured him up before as part of the digi "Perfect Sunday" that used for Making Cards Magazine last year, but it was nice this time to make him the star of the show! Here he is a digistamp -

And here is my version of him, close up! -

As normal he is coloured with polychromo pencils on kraft card.

Background paper from May's edition of Making Cards Magazine.

Greeting made using font Newsflash BB.
As I was cleaning up my image after I had finished colouring (Just using a standard eraser, one of the great things about polychromos!) I managed to rub away part of my greeting, so I printed it out again and added it with foam tabs. Doh!

Thanks for joining me today! Hope you have found some inspo in this post and may I enable you with a link to the Dr.Digi shop to see all the other fabulous animal digi's for sale?

Backyard Blooms & Kitties.

Quick card I made for my friend Janet. I did a bokeh background using green distress oxides, White Unicorn ink from Hero Arts and used a bubble/bokeh stencil from Witt & Sass.

The flowers are stamped using black distress oxide and two sets of Cardio stamps, Emily's Garden (butterflies) and Backyard Blooms.
I diecut the cats using Hobby Solution Pussy Cats, HSF008.
Added some stickles blobs at the end!

Martha Metal Head

It's another Dr.Digi Friyay! :D This is Martha Metal Head, she was part way through her best ever riff before she realised she wasn't plugged into the speakers.

I coloured her with polychromo pencils and a white posca pen. I also used a black micron pen to draw in some of the finer details.

Here she is in the shop -

And here is my version of her -

I just matted and layered her onto a red card and then onto a black card blank.

I didn't add any bling to the card, but might sit and think about whether to add some later. There was so much speaker going on I thought plain might be best. What do you think? Add some bling, or not?

Thanks for joining me on another Dr.Digi Friyay. Pop to the shop if you fancy? Let me be a naughty enabler!

Otterly great Easter!

This is the batch of otterly great Easter cards I made to send to family and friends. I used the MFT Otterly Love You set. I actually got it second hand but it didn't appear to have been used at all!

Each card had a banner using stencils and distress oxides. Each one was different.
I coloured the otters with copics and added a little creme eggs to their paws.
( E31, E33, E35, E53, E57, E93)

Popped on some highlights with white posca pen, and also made their eyes bigger with black pigment pen so I could easily add some white glints to them. And gave them glossy accent noses!

I made my own greeting in Segoe Script so I could theme to be suitable for Easter! It was nice to make some cute cards just for me to use, been a while since I have done that.

Napping Neville

Happy Friday folks! It's another Dr.Digi friday and I have coloured up Napping Neville!

If you know me in real life you will obviously spot that somehow Dr.Digi has spied into my living room and drawn a perfect likeness of my partner and his cat. Even the napping bit is spot on! I was somewhat freaked out when I saw it! lols.

Here is the digi in the shop:

And here is a close up of my version (Click on it to enlarge):

I have coloured him with polychromos on kraft card (Hessian Buff) and added some enamel bling and a sentiment from the Nap Sentiment Sheet.

I tried to colour this up to be a bit realistic, so this is a taste of my living room decor (or lack of) and my red sofa! And also, Bertie, my partners cat. Sometimes he is also my cat, when he is hungry.

One of my crafty friends did a photo showing the texture of her colouring so I decided to include this somewhat shiny picture (above). The area of the card I have coloured is completely smooth, I leave no tooth, so sometimes taking photos can be a bit of a reflective nightmare.

Thanks for joining me today! Why not pop to the Dr.Digi shop and find something nice to colour up too?

Quick forest Card.

Wanted to play with my new Sue Wilson - Woodland Collection - Forest Animals dies. And have a go at forest bokeh!

I made the green bokeh background using distress oxides, a circle stencil from Witt & Sass and Hero Arts Unicorn White pigment ink.
Then I die cut birch trees using IO DIE079-u, Stag, deers and bird from the Sue Wilson Set and then grass using Lawn Fawn Grass border. I printed off a sentiment on the computer and added it to the bottom.
Added some stickles dots to lively it up at the end.

I confess I made another card before this using the same elements and it was a disaster. I was pleased I had another go tho, this one looks ok, but perhaps a bit too christmassy?

Eighties Pop-up

Hi everyone, sharing a commissioned card today, my customer wanted an all out eighties card!

The recipient of this card is really into eighties music so I took that as the main theme and tracked down some eighties "Smash Hits" covers to use for the sides of my pop-up card.

I decided I wanted to do an eighties envelope too! This was meant to be black, red and grey. I used to have an eighties duvet cover just like that.

On the back I added the sentiment my customer had sent me with a background of magazine covers showing her favourite eighties music artist.  Then wrapped it up flat and sent it to my customer.
