Hi! Just for your amusement, here is a picture of the first ever Knitty Kitty Teapot :)

We went to The Melting Pot in Bewdley last Saturday and had a brilliant morning painting ceramics. The ladies that help you are super kind and helpful and I'd like to give them a big thank you!!! Without them this would not have been possible.

Crafty Addicts Facebook January Challenge.

Am pleased to report I am now helping my friend Helen run a challenge blog called The Crafty Addicts!

Not only does it have two competitions per week on the blog, but an additional monthly challenge on Facebook.

This is the first Design Team I have been part of, and below is my first challenge inspiration card for the current Facebook Challenge. The theme is -  "Something With Wings" and I've used the stamp "Goth Fairy 2" by Morgan's Art World.

Wings and background are a combo of  Ranger Distress Daubers and Cosmic Mica Shimmer Mists. Additional bling with Stickles and Sequins. Fairy coloured with the computer and enhanced with Copics and white pen. Diecut greeting from Die'sire/Crafter's Companion.

Elegant Sakura Maiden

New Blog Challenge today at The Crafty Addicts. I love this Moonflower image and have been itching to colour her in red and white.  She is called "Sakura Maiden". I'm very pleased Moonflower are sponsoring this challenge! As normal there is a theme of "Anything goes" but also "Elegance" if you fancy having a go and winning prizes.

It's lovely to make an oriental card, I have soooo much oriental themed craft stash but never a chance to use any of it! It's all lovely stuff but unfortunately in the heart of Shropshire, doesn't ever seem to sell. Never mind, chance to use it anyway! :D

Image coloured with copics and the backing papers all came from the oriental department of my craft item hoard! :D Added gem bling, stickles glitter and appliqué fan.

Christmas Card Workshop, back in November!

This might seem like a very late post, but honestly there is a reason. Although I would love to show you what we made that day, on the day - I can't if the cards might be received by people that might see them in advance. Now we are safely past Christmas, I can assume most have been seen and I am free to post!

We actually made 12 cards on the day, so here are a few of them. Most of them had room to add extra personalisation after, so these are the cards as I used them, rather than made them originally.

Distress Inks masked background with flicked water to make snow effect. Die cut sleigh and trees. Stamped fairy lights with added bling. 3D foam mounted greeting.

Cuttlebug embossing folder snowflake background. Die cut snowmen. Spotty ribbon and tiny bling.

Artemio Type F Pinguins with Sledge Wooden Stamp. (not sure if that's just a typo, or really Pinguins with an I?) Coloured with Polychromo pencils. HA greeting stamp. Stamped snowflakes in white. Mounted on Kraft Card.

Die cut sleigh, icicles and birch trees. Distress ink sky background with water flicked on to make snow. Joy wood paper as background.

Die cut snowflake frame and landscape scene. Sky using a white correcter pen on blue paper. Embossed background with added bling. 3D foam mounted greeting.

Snowflakes die cut from top layer. 3D foam mounted onto white card blank. Same die cut snowflakes from red card set inside the snowflake shaped gaps. Add bling and stamped sentiment.

Pulling Down The Tree Card

I'm just sorting out my Christmas Card photos so I can pop them all in a blog post but I thought I would feature this one in it's own post. It's a card I made using the "Pulling Down The Christmas Tree" Digistamp.

I coloured it with copics and added quite a lot of stickles glitter glue! The snowflakes were diecut waste from another card and I am always looking for an excuse to use the pom pom ribbon!

I'd also like to give you advance warning that if you would like to win three of my digistamps (of your choosing) I am sponsoring a card challenge at The Crafty Addicts Blog starting on the 3rd Feb. And hopefully by then, all the new images for Valentine's Day and Mother's Day will be listed on Etsy too!

Norton Manx Card

Happy New Year! I know, seems ages ago now, but I'm back to regular card making after the Christmas mentalism and I need to get blogging again, before I forget how! :)

This is a commissioned card for an 80th birthday. The gent in question is a vintage motorbike fan. I chose a Norton Manx as it was one of my Dad's favourites, he also liked bikes :)

Images sourced from Pinterest. Cut out and added free hand to make a grid pattern. You can neaten up the grid pattern using a black pen and ruler if something is a little on the squiffy side. :)

I'm loving these gold chevrons, they are self-adhesive and mirrored and allowed me to use some major bling that was still appropriate for a man's card. They are part of the Papermania Capsule Collection.
