Pray

Popping in with a beautiful digi from Sweet Escape Digis. This digi is called "Pray".

***Always remember to pop to the Sweet Escape Digis Facebook Page to check their latest offer! Currently it's a fab freebie digi with purchase!  But if you're reading this later on, pop to the FB page to get deets of the current offer! ***

I thought she would be perfect on a "Thinking of you" card so added that sentiment to her using the computer before printing out the topper. (Font is October Twilight)

Here is the digi in the shop: (I printed her out a little paler so the lines wouldn't be as dark when I coloured her.)

And here is a close up of my verion:

When I had finished colouring her with my polychromo pencils I added in a bit of extra detail using a white posca pen, and some stickles to the stars.

I mounted her onto my card base with 3D foam tape and using a backing paper from Making Crafts Magazine.

I quite like to have a more cheerful "thinking of you" card in stock, because I don't use them just for sympathy card occasions.

Thanks for joining me today. Please pop to the Sweet Escape Digis Shop and check out their beautiful stamps, cos I am a naughty enabler :) Remember to get details of the latest offer from their facebook page.

Pottering about.

Good Morning on a very sunny (at least in Shropshire) morning! This Dr.Digi DT Session I made a card for my Konmari buddy that I hope will make her laugh using Pansy Potter.

We have been on our konmari journeys for quite a while and have been offering each other encouragement along the way. You wouldn't be able to tell from my house that I've been doing it but my friend has even made progress in her craft room, lol! I thought the Pansy digi would go nicely with the sentiment!

Here is what she looks like before I coloured her in:

And here is my version -

I used polychromo pencils and white posca pen.

Gems and background paper are from the stash. Decided not to add sparkle or glossy accents as there was so much going on already with the colouring.

Thanks for joining me today on the blog. Hope Pansy made you smile! If you would like to see more of Dr. Digi's fun images please click the shop badge below.

Radley

Hi everyone, just found some pics of this card I made last month and decided to add a quick blog post about it! This was a commissioned card for someone who likes Radley bags.

I went online to the Radley Collectors website and chose this signature bag from 2005 to make into a paper pieced picture for the card. I think it was one of my fav designs when I wished I could have one! I have cheaper tastes these days, and spend all my spare cash on polychromo pencils and pencil sharpeners, lol.

I've made a lot of handbag shaped cards in my crafty past but these days think this very simple rectangle with a handle prolly works just as well as all the complicated ways I've tried before.

Used lots of different papers from the stash and it didn't really come together until I added all the faux stitching. I just did it by hand in the end with a black pen. I cheated with the tag and just printed out a photo of a real one and cut it out! Customer was pleased with it.

Hilda and Hercules

Very happy to be here with a new Dr.Digi DT card! And also happy that it's friday! This is Hilda and Hercules.

I had a real blast colouring this one up, she is a joy to add detail too and he is a fabulously hairy beast! As normal this is polychromo pencils and white posca pen.
I would like to blame Amy Young for making me think I need to add in a bit of a background sometimes, hers are always a-ma-zing, but I just went for a bit of fence, lol!
Here is the original digistamp -

And here is my version (Click on it for a bigger and sharper image!) -

I added the snarky greeting for my Mum who is always asking me if she's shrinking. Even tho I am a very kind child (cough) I do have to say "yes".... shes not quite shorter than her dog yet tho, nor does she has a blue rinse! (Font is Scooby Doo.)

Background paper is ancient and from the stash, it goes a bit better with the card in real life, I promise. Bling also from the stash.

Thanks very much for joining me today. Hope you have a lovely weekend. And if you are feeling spendy why not pop for a mooch in the Dr.Digi shop?

Do you like Black and White Movies?

Hi again! Back with another delicious digi from Sweet Escape Digis, this is Audrey! She is one of the free digistamps you can select when you make a purchase in the Sweet Escape Etsy Shop.

**** Special Offer Alert!*****
You can currently buy 4 digistamps for $6 in the Sweet Escape Shop! Also you can get a free digi for every digistamp you buy, so that's $6 for 4 paid for stamps & 4 freebies = 8 stamps!!! I suggest you pop to the Sweet Escape Digi Facebook Page to see the current options for free digistamps. Also make sure to message seller,  when you buy your 4 digis, with which freebies you are after. Audrey could be one of your choices!

Please click on the picture to see a larger version with less blur! :)

I had a go at something different, never tried doing monochrome colouring on kraft card (I think??) and it was quite a challenge! Obviously now I really want to have another go but in colour!

Here is the digistamp that I used so you can see how beautifully she's drawn.

And here is a close up of my version of her!

I made my own striped black and silver kraft cardstock because I couldn't find anything in the stash that matched the general aesthetic of the topper.  The font is Little Lord Fontleroy and it's a real quote from Audrey Hepburn. Added some mixed bling to finish.

What do you think? Does it tempt you to have a go at monochrome? It was hard work, but really interesting to do! If you would like to pop to the Sweet Escape Shop and see what other stamps might look great in monochrome please click the link below. Remember there's an offer on!
