A bit of Gaudi!

Made this card for a friend who has recently been holidaying in Barcelona! Went with a Gaudi theme, and Rivanna NF Font!

I added black nail head bling from the stash and a coat of Nuvo Crystal Drops to the text. Images all from Google image search. Less stress about image copyrights when a card is just for personal use! #cardmakersangst.

Congrats!

I had a scrap of the lovely "Forest Friends" paper from Fabscraps left over so rather than chuck it I made it into another small new baby card!

This time I worked out how to "meld" on the eclips and create a word with joined  up letters. Took me a while, I am sure things should be easier than I find them! :)

I used Alako-Bold font and then cut it out several times on the eclips and stuck them on top of each other to make a raised "Congrats".

I tried adding an au-naturel laser cut bunny but he didn't look right so I painted him silver!

Studs added after from the stash. Kraft card blank.

New recruit!

Very pleased to make this commissioned card for a new arrival! I used the eclips AGAIN! I know, I am finally using the technology!!! :)

I cut out the "Welcome Ethan" using the eclips and then backed it with silver paper. The paper I used it two sided and called "Forest Friends" by fabscraps.com.  The silvery trees are on the one side, and the cute animals on the other.

I added some little wood laser cut animals as an embelli and some silver studs on the topper.  I keep meaning to use the wooden animals but they never seem to fit the card, I think they look quite cute on this one though!

More experimental cutting!

As you might have guessed, there is now no stopping me cutting stuff up! :) This time I used a freebie celtic pattern to make a cutting file and used it on the eclips.

A few months ago, one of our newspapers was giving away free prints of Claude Monet paintings. They were abandoned everywhere in our local coffee shop so I swiped a few at the end of the day to perhaps use as a background image. However, I decided to cut a celtic design out of " Path in the Garden at Giverny" (1901-02) for this card. I wanted a floral/irish feeling card.

Flowers from Wild Orchid, Hobbycraft and stash. Papers from stash. Number from Amelia's Creative Craft Shop in Studley. Embelished with glossy accents, Nuvo crystal drops and stickles.

Cat cards!

Recently read someone's blog where they mentioned that they made a prototype of their card before making the final version, phew! I am glad I am not the only one to do this!  Because I am very new to the Eclips I was experimenting with free svg files and used one of a cat for a commissioned card order.

This is the prototype! I decided not to waste the cut and used it to make a card. The background and rainbow strips are using up a background I made on a previous "having a mess" day. I'm pretty sure it was using liquid distress ink refills on glossy cardstock.

So after making that card I edited the cutting file and made the cat a bit more streamlined. I also popped on some text to make it relevant to the customer's order.

This was another "having a mess" background. I used sequins from the stash, stickles on the text and some glossy accents in the eyes.

BMW card.

Used my photo card formula to make a commissioned man's card for a BMW 3 series E92 coupe owner. Tried my best to get it accurate, but it's hard when you don't know much about specific cars! :)

Using images from Honest John Car Reviews and the Autocar website I used Paint Shop Pro to make a collage and then changed the resulting image to black and white to match the silver theme of the card.

Easter Bunnies

Another card using Gerda Steiner Stamp Set - Hoppiness! that Helen kindly stamped for me! Made this as an Easter card for my nephew, just using the bunny parts of the set.

I used the fence and little bird from the set on this card last month.

Bunnies were coloured with copics. Holes cut on the cuttlebug using a spellbinders circle set and added yellow bling to finish. Wanted to have a go at a card like this for ages, so glad I had an excuse to make one for Easter.

Challenge 35

Very happy that Knitty Kitty Digis are sponsoring this months Crafty Addicts Challenge Blog!

The challenge this month is ATG/Add a sentiment and to the winner KKD are offering 3 free digis.

I have used from Knitty Kitties - "Dachshund Thru The Snow" and it's my first time colouring him up in pencil! I quite like these almost CAS cards because the colouring didn't take forever so it was quite quick! Hurrah!

This sequins were from a very old pinflair kit and I think they make quite nice snow! The font is "Apple Boy BTN" and I added some highlights using polychromo pencil in white and then a spot of White posca pen. The dachshund is coloured using polychromo pencils.

Happy Mail!

Really pleased to share a photo of some Happy Mail from my friend Fiki! As well as a fabulous card (which I cannot yet unveil) there was this super awesome wand!!! I love it! I've had it on my craft bench since opening it and it's not going anywhere!

She used the Kittaccino Knitty Kitty Digistamp and I love her choice of china and the super realistic biscuit! Does this mean those little biscuits are a universal thing? :) I hope so, nom! :)

I thought, like me, you might be interested in a picture of it that shows a bit more of my crafting area? Heavily cropped as there are wedding invites everywhere at present!!  (No, a customer order, not my wedding!) So here is my wand in pen pot situ!

Thank you Fiki for my wand, I love it! :D Crafting friends are awesome!
