Springtime Baby Bunny

(Catchupmageddon Post). I had in a commissioned card for a very special new baby! I have made a lot of cards for this family, including the wedding invitations of the now new Mum & Dad so I was very happy to be asked to make this very happy card!

I have used the "Springtime" stamp  from Whimsy Stamps, artwork by Sylvia Zet. I actually have this as a physical stamp but I shall link here to the digital one.

The theme for the nursery was pink, grey and rabbits so I stuck to that for the card too. I don't often colour in pencils on white so this was an interesting challenge for me and took me a lot longer than it takes me on kraft card, I don't know why!

Once I had matt and layered it onto pink card I used papers from "Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl" from K& Co for the layout behind, which are luckily the same kind of colour scheme. It's an old 8x8 pad from my stash but I believe it's still available!

The main font is East Coast Stationery and the smaller font is Delinquente Alt 1 Demo.

In the corners I created some flower butterfly shapes with flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, wired branches from the stash and some left over string from their wedding invitations. (I like to add an extra detail that only the recipient would recognise.)

To finished I added some stickles to the flowers and glossy accents to the eyes!

Congrats, it's a baby! :D

Good Friday Morning to you! And as such here is the Dr. Digi DT offering I have for you - Darling Damien!

Damien is, as you can see, fantastic for a bit of skin colouring practice! I went for a pinker skin in this to try and get a more fresh baby complexion.

Here is the actual digistamp:

And here is my version:

He is coloured in polychromo pencils on kraft card. The kraft card is pretty smooth for a kraft card, so actually describing it as buff coloured card might be more accurate. I used some white posca pen for the glints in the eyes, nose and safety pin etc.

The background paper was from Making Cards Magazine and the giant pink pearls are from the stash.  Font is Scoobydoo. I actually coloured Damien up in a gender neutral kinda way, but went pink with the backing paper when mounting him up. Not that pink actually relates to anything, but I suppose traditionally speaking it does.

Thanks for joining me today! Hope you liked Damien and didn't feel too bad for poor old Ted! :D Please click the link below if you would like to have a mooch round the Dr. Digi shop and go a bit spendy!

Congrats!

I had a scrap of the lovely "Forest Friends" paper from Fabscraps left over so rather than chuck it I made it into another small new baby card!

This time I worked out how to "meld" on the eclips and create a word with joined  up letters. Took me a while, I am sure things should be easier than I find them! :)

I used Alako-Bold font and then cut it out several times on the eclips and stuck them on top of each other to make a raised "Congrats".

I tried adding an au-naturel laser cut bunny but he didn't look right so I painted him silver!

Studs added after from the stash. Kraft card blank.

New recruit!

Very pleased to make this commissioned card for a new arrival! I used the eclips AGAIN! I know, I am finally using the technology!!! :)

I cut out the "Welcome Ethan" using the eclips and then backed it with silver paper. The paper I used it two sided and called "Forest Friends" by fabscraps.com.  The silvery trees are on the one side, and the cute animals on the other.

I added some little wood laser cut animals as an embelli and some silver studs on the topper.  I keep meaning to use the wooden animals but they never seem to fit the card, I think they look quite cute on this one though!

Hop Day Seven!

Just hopping on by with a very suitable hoppy type image and another link back to the ORIGINAL HOP POST incase you need to look at if for how to take part :)

I wanted to have a go at the digistamp that Helen chose for the hop, BunnyRoo! It's actually the second attempt, I have decided that grey fur on kraft paper is not ideal, and that I should mebbe do a different colour next time! :) He was easy to colour tho, quite quick, which I approve of! lol. If you don't want to try and win him for free in the hop, he is in the etsy shop for sale too.

So I made BunnyRoo into a New Baby Card, always handy to have one in the card hoard! :) He is coloured using polychromo pencils on kraft card. Sequins from the stash and the font is Mister Sirloin. I used a white posca pen to highlight their noses :)

Another new baby :)

This is a card for a customer order. He is a new grandparent and it had to be something a little bit special, and here it is! :) Relieved to say he really liked it. I've taken out a few of the details but you can imagine that any info could go in the text parts and the layout could be transferred for any colour scheme or a special paper you might want to include.

I love the All About Boys Stack from DCWV. It's not a new thing but honestly I think I have used it for so many projects it's been worth every penny. The 12x12 pad is still available to buy on line for approx £20.
