My fav movie.

Sharing a card today that I made for one of my besties. We both love Ghibli movies! When I saw this super kawaii "My Neighbor" stamp from Stamp Anniething I had to purchase it! (Doesn't happen much, I am trying to use my stash items, not get spendy on line, lol!).

This digi is called "My Neighbor" and was fabulous to colour up!  And I couldn't resist this sentiment to go with her. (Font is Grilled Cheese BTN).

Isn't she cute? I added few sparkly gems from the stash and then 3D foam mounted her onto a 7x7" card base. I wanted some grey and red (eighties?) style striped for behind her, so recoloured one of the papers from the Dr. Digi's Sepia Stripes Collection and printed it out.

I think this is the first Stamp Anniething image I have coloured and I am very impressed with the quality of the digi and how much fun she was to colour. TBH I didn't realise how many digital stamps they had for download.

I have been loving the work by my crafty friends Mindy , Barbara and Cathy, and was particularly inspired by a card Cathy made using this stamp!

Tiny Totoro Terrariums

 

 What people don't tell you about making terrariums is how hard it is to get a good photo of them!  :) This has been an ongoing project for a couple of weeks, of a couple of years if you count how long I have had the jars in which to make them!

I order the figures from ebay but when they came they needed a bit of retouching with acrylics.

Recipe:

The jars were from the charity shop.
The twine was left over from the last wedding invites I made.
The charm is from ye olde bead stash.
I purchased fresh cork pieces for the base and used grass intended for Minature Warcraft set ups, easily available on ebay too.
For some of the them I used bark/twig my friend Helen kindly donated me from her garden.
I added a felt base to them afterwards too.

On the bottom of the cork lid there are glow in the dark stars which add a bit of night time interest. As yet I have not found anything glowy enough to actually light them up properly at night. I shall keep up the hunt!

I have two bigger jars to have a go at next! :)
