Just sharing a picture with you today. My Mum requested one of my cat drawings for Christmas featuring our pets! This is the final image - the background shows composite parts of both our gardens. On the left are my cats" George" and "Bertie". (Brothers and rescue cats) and on the right is Mum's cat "Tiggy". (Also rescued, abandoned in a box in the churchyard with her kittens.) The two dogs are "Holly" my labrador and "Figgy" Mum's rescue staffy. First time I have had to colour in "brindle"... took me a while to figure it out :)

Hornsea Pottery
I am a hoarder. I confess! Apart from anything crafty I mainly hoard Hornsea Pottery. I hope in the future to sell off most of my collection but just need a way to do it! I have decided to photograph and catalogue my collection and am currently using instagram to help. Here are a few of my instagram photos using the handy widget. :)

TKMaxx Win!
So pleased to see these fab notepads with covers designed by Julia Kuo in TKMaxx. She is such an amazing illustrator and I love having a tiny piece of her work in my crafting life! These are going to be my next two "To Do" books. I would love to say "for my bullet journalling" but I am just not that trendy! :) To Do lists will have to do!

Filmed Themed Man Cards
I had a commissioned card request for an MGM film themed 70th card. I've used this card base before for men's cards - it's kind of already a bit special so less bling and ribbon etc are needed to make it stand out. It's hard to soup up a Man's card! I also needed a Marx Brothers themed card for my Bro-in-law, so used the same layout to make that. Images all from the net and converted to black and white.

Watercolour and masking fluid.
I've been trying to come up with a "Thinking of you" type card, that's a bit more up to date and a little bit warmer in sentiment. My friend asked me to make a card for a chum who has had a bad time recently so we decided " I want to give you a big hug" might be appropriate.
I've used a Molotow (Grafx Art Masking Liquid Pump Marker) pen and then Distress Inks as watercolours. I tried on proper water colour paper but got the best results from "hammered" card which is a bit less absorbent. The Molotow pen also takes a bit of getting used to. I've been watching K Werner using this technique and her results are brilliant! I need a bit more practice :) I added some enamel dots at the end to add a bit of bling :)

John James Audubon
I made this card for my brother's birthday. He is really interested in an artist called John James Audubon (1785-1851) who attempted to paint and describe all the birds of America. His seminal Birds of America was a collection of 435 life-size prints. This card shows 9 of his paintings.

More Christmas Cards.
Some of these I made to send myself and some were commissions.
It's getting super hard on line to track down whether images are copyrighted or not. I suppose I should say if I am claiming the artwork as my own, because I would happily credit an original artist if I could find out who it was....and as I only make one card with it, the lack of mass production and making money from it would probably influence how an original artist would feel about it perhaps?
I don't know though, I'd be pretty cross if my artwork was on line with no watermark and anyone could use it. Hopeful I have found images safe to use - I'm saying this because I couldn't track down where the Scrooge Silhouette was from, anywhere!
Die cut window and snowflakes. Hero Arts stamp background behind window. Fussy cut dog silhouettes. Blue pearls.
Hunkydory frames and papers. Die cut icicles. Hand drawn Church scanned and put into grey scale. Green pearls. The church is Trinity Methodist Church in Shifnal.
This was a special card for one of my bezzie's Mum's to give her daughter. They've just had a baby and the wall paper in the picture is the same as the paper in their nursery. Die cut window. Hero Arts stamped scene behind window. Greeting from Hunkydory. Bottle, chair, bear and box all stickers from the Royal Doll's House Sticker Book by Usbourne 2013.
These ginger bread/cookie toppers and papers were all freebies in a magazine and I've been saving them forever. The main ginger bread men were stamped and coloured with copics.
I've been loving the kraft card this Christmas. This was a combo of two stamp sets for the bunnies and the base of the snow globe. I used two circle die cutters to make the right size snow globe outline. Stamped bunnies coloured in with polychromo pencils.
I promise this was appropriate wording for the sender/recipient! :) I printed out the Scrooge silhouette and masked off the writing, then cosmic shimmered the background and added some bling. I like the effect.
Sheena Douglass Stamps painted with watered-down distress inks. Snowy night sky made by flicking water onto a dark distress ink background.
Final card for the post. Just made me chuckle :)

New Moo Cards have come! (Not sponsored)
I have needed some new business cards for quite a while. I wanted to just have my website and email address on them rather than the load of links I had on the last one. I'm really pleased with these!
I just used the four colour designs I made for my mugs and feel they are better at representing my current crafty status.
Cards are from Moo Cards. And I usually wait until they have a great special offer before I order. This time it was a voucher for £10 off so I got my business cards done for less than a fiver! Suggest creating an account and doing the same? These are minicards, half the normal size of business cards, so cute! :)
