Frenchie Cactus!

(Catchupmageddon Post). A commissioned card for a frenchie lover! I was aiming for something clean and modern looking with this card.

I used two stamp sets -
We love dogs from Apple Blossom Craft Collection (STOB0012)
Prickly Plants from For the Love of Stamps by Hunkydory (FTLS203)

I stamped them straight onto the card in this layout and coloured them with copic markers and white posca pen.

Font is All Hooked Up. Enamel bling from the stash.

Next Frenchie Card!

So last post I showed you the commissioned card I made for Ted, this is the card I made for his sister Esmae! :)

I went for a simple easel card, 15 x 15 cm. The frenchie is from a Making Card Magazine Freebie. I scanned it and recoloured it to make it a beige frenchie so it looked like Esmae :) I also used the papers that came in the same pack.

Flowers are from Wild Orchid. Clouds are Joy Die Clouds. Added Stickles and Nuvo Jewel Drops. Lace, number, brad etc all from stash.

Ted's Second Birthday

Hi folks :) Have a lovely commission once a year to make birthday cards for a friend's & friend's daughter's dogs :) They are called Ted and Esmae and are french bulldogs. (They also have Bert who is the pug I make cards for too). In this post I will show you Ted's card and next post I will do Esmae's.

I did a pale line drawing of the two dogs and added text to the topper on the PC and then printed it out. Then I used Gansai Tambi Watercolours to paint the two dogs and included some gold to add highlights.  The font is Neuropolitical.

I mat and layered it onto a brown pearlescent card stock and then a white 17 x 17cm blank.  I scanned my dog painting into the computer, not sure whether I should try and do a good print of it to sell?

I actually did two paintings of it, this one I used less traditional colours  and let the watercolours do more random things! I then scanned this and used it as a background inside the card on the area to write a message.

More Frenchie!

Last month I had in an order for a french bulldog birthday card. At the time I made two, in different colours, and decided to use the pinky one as a wedding card for later in the year, as the couple with the frenchie are getting married. So this card I made for myself to give someone (it's been a while) but it's really nice to not have to consider any requirements other than my own :)

I masked a frenchie image and used watercolours (Gansai Tambi) to make an interesting background. I cut out the frenchie and left it as a void. I mounted it with 3D foam onto a pink sparkley paper and a pink matt. Then onto a white card base. Added banner and enamel bling.

Second Wedding Card

I made two cards for the couple getting married last weekend, here is the second one. I went for white on white, my first time! I combo'd alot of dies to make this!

So, the main part of the easel is a huge combo of dies, on some textured background papers ( hard to see!). The flowers are mainly from Wild Orchid. The two doves top right are wooden laser cuts, painted. The pearls are from the stash. The ribbon is a white version of the cream ribbon we used on their actual wedding invites. (Off ebay).

As you can tell, it was super hard to get a good photo, but here it is laid flat. Its 20cm x 20cm, so pretty large!

Dies used -
Tonic - Wreath
Joy - (Background landscape) Mery's Christmas tree and house border.
Marianne designs - Bike LR0394
Die'sire - Traditional Bunting
Sue Wilson - Maidenhair Ferns
Nestabilities - Hearts
IO Dies - Birch and Cardinal DIE079-U
And the couple were a loan from a friend, not sure what the die is called, but it also has a stone arch!
***Edit - It's Crafts Too Presscut Die - Bride and Groom PCD14***

Inside the card, to make the rest for the easel to latch onto, I cut out three dogs, also in white, two Frenchies and a Pug! Their dogs are called Esmae, Bert and Ted! More lace and flowers as above.

Frenchie!

Had a fun order from a customer to make a first birthday card for her French Bulldog. He is called Ted :) I used an outline of a frenchie, masked it off and used Gansai Tambi Watercolour Paints to make a background, washing around and flicking.

I ended up cutting out the masked area and layering the image onto black card. Added a hand drawn banner and some Shimelle enamel stars. Card blank was gold to match some of the gold watercolour I used for the flicking, shows up better in real life :)
