Different kinds of cards?

Just wanted to share some cards I made for one of my besties. I make all kinds of cards using all kinda of sources and images. She needed -
  • A male wine themed card
  • A male 40th birthday card themed for photography
  • A lego card for a 9yr old
  • A male 40th birthday card themed for pizza
  • A pokemon card for a 9yr old

Free wine art download. Greeting using font Impact label white. Happy text is from "Script Words 2" die set from Altenew. Sequins from the stash.

Altered a CUP Kit  (called "Smile") to be an easel card and added 40 in cork numbers and greeting in Bernadette Rough font. Kit printed out onto kraft card rather than white. Wooden bling from the stash.

Lego game from artsyfartsymama.com, I downloaded it a while ago so not sure if it's still available but there are other free printables available.  The wheel spins round so you can choose a lego challenge. Font is Neuropolitical.

I altered another download from CUP called Supreme Pizza. The background was all a bit too black so I added some yellow and some of my own text in Breamcatcher font.

Another download from CUP - Pokemon Mini Kit, just decoupaged it and added a greeting (Scoobydoo font) and some yellow star bling (from Paperchase). I also glossy accented their eyes!

Just wanted to share with you some of the different things I sometimes make using no polychromos at all! lol. :D

Lucky opportunity!

Am very lucky to have some new images from Sweet Escape Digis to colour up by a new artist/illustrator called Amanda Siqueira. This image is Photographer and is now available in the Sweet Escape Etsy Shop! (There is also an awesome deal on a set with her in and three more fabulous images, (that I was lucky enough to be given to colour) link is here.)

This week (26/3 - 29/3) there is also a promo code in the shop for 40% off!! Use the code SHOP40.

I coloured her with the normal polychromos and a spot of posca pen in her eyes. Font is Mouse Memoirs. I embellished with some stickles. Backing paper from the stash, think it's part of a papermania set.

It was hard to get a picture without a shine on it, so here is another with hopefully better detail!

Below is a side by side of the digi from the shop and the coloured version, so you can see how I have added to it, and what you get if you fancy purchasing it?

Absolutely beautiful stamp to work with, her hair is fabulous if you want to practice your hair strokes! I printed her out slightly paler than the original line drawing so I could add some fur to the collar of her gilet!

Very pleased to have this opportunity to work with these new digis. I have four in total, so shall be back soon with some more!

Kate's Camera Card

Another commissioned card, and very specific too! Michelangelo's David, holding a Canon Camera with a Sorento theme! I much prefer orders like this, I know what I'm aiming for!

So I photoshopped "David" to be holding a camera over his accoutrements as you can never be sure how much nudity is appropriate, lol! I popped online to find some images of vintage Sorento postcards to include kinda as "snaps".

For the background and camera embellis I used Inkadinkado Stamp Set called "Cameras", really pleased to finally use it, it's been in the "unused stash" along time!

This is the background I made for the card, using one of the large cameras from the Inkadinkado set and blended distress inks and oxides, followed by some water flicking, and using a round lid to make a bleaching effect on the camera lenses. I also cut out a few Joy Clouds from the scraps to include on the card, edged with Nuvo Jewel Drops.

Camera card for Gordon

Card order finished, zoom lens comes through a hole in the front of the card, there's another camera inside. Camera made from paper piecing.
