All tied up!

Decided to colour up one of Dr.Digi's new releases for my DT Friday and I really enjoyed working on Tangled Trotsky!

Here is the digi in the shop:

And here is my version close up:

I also used the green version from Sepia Stripes for my backing paper this time. It suddenly dawned on me that I could print it straight onto my card blank rather than printing it out to stick on, doh! Why haven't I done that before, lol! So quick and easy! This is defo my fav backing paper set at the moment, but Dr.Digi has so many!

As normal everything is coloured with polychromo pencils on kraft card. I used white posca pen for highlights. Font is Little Lord Fontleroy (I think, will edit later if not).

Thanks for joining me today! I'm having Internet problems so I'm going to end this post a little early and try and upload from my phone. Technology eh?? Lol.

And here is my version:

The little bunny is so cute! I also had a go and doing a small checked pattern on her dress and bow, do you think it worked out ok?

Backing paper is from Making Cards Magazine, I love these tiny pineapples! Bling is from the stash.

Woolly Cats!

Hi Everyone! (X-posted to the Sassy and Crafty Blog! time zones permitting!) Very happy to share with you a special GDT project I have been working on for Sassy and Crafty!

This is one of the kitties from their Thank Mew (4x8) Stamp Set.

Here is the super cute stamp set (this kitty has friends!) -

And here is my version -

I know, you've spotted it's A LOT bigger than the stamp set. Normally it's not ok to (just) digitise a stamped image but lucky for me, I asked and the folks at Sassy and Crafty they said "yes!" I was able to go to town on this chap with my polychromo pencils. If you are a pencil artist and find it hard to work with small stamped images it can never hurt to ask if it's ok for you to enlarge them. Lots of artists will be ok with it, they might even help your out with the process, but always ask! Don't be offended if they say no, and never share your digitised stamps with anyone else!

I created the whole topper on the computer and printed just the kitty/wool part slightly pale (no-lines colouring style) straight onto kraft card. This meant all I had to do was colour it up and then cut it out!

Top inside tip, if you want to try no-lines colouring but get frustrated when you lose the details of the original stamp, always print out a normal dark version to refer back to as you colour. I always do, so I can remember where things are, like whiskers!

I'm not sure why I went for a watermeh-loon ( Always pronounce it just like this, it's going to make you chuckle every time, I assure you.) colour scheme but I did. I love some red and green free from having to be christmassy! Papers are all from Making Cards Magazine. Bling is from the stash. I used a white posca pen for highlights.

The sentiment is also from the stamp set which has a great choice of phrases to use with the kitty stamps!

Why not check out their blog now to see all the other inspo and super new stamp sets at Sassy And Crafty?

Skol!

Skol to you on this fine friday! As you may already know, I love colouring up a Viking and Dimble the Ale Destroyer from Dr.Digi's was particularly fun to colour up!

Here he is in the shop:

And here is my version:

My background paper is also a bit of a fav from a set called Spells also by Dr.Digi. I think they look like Norse Runes, so entirely suitable for a Viking.

As you also may know I like adding in a few colouring challenges, in this case we had more goes with colouring metals, it's so hard to make them look realistic!!! Do you have a technique you always use for them? I would love to hear if you do!

The font I used for the greeting is called Coffin Nails. And I used a tiny bit of white posca pen for highlights.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope you enjoyed a bit of Viking time and now you are in the mood, why not head to the Dr.Digi shop and check out the other great Viking digis?!

Coffee Time!

Two best words to hear ever - Coffee Time! I admit it's always coffee time at my house! This super digi is from Sweet Escape Digis and I was lucky enough to colour her up as a GDT project.
I'm proud because I think this is the best hair I have ever done, blowing my own trumpet!

Here is the digi in the shop:

And here is my version:

Really loved colouring her. It's polychromo pencils as usual on smooth kraft card with just a touch of white posca pen on her eyes.

Font is Courier New. Backing papers from Making Cards Magazine and bling form the stash!

Thanks for joining me for a coffee today! I've been in lock down so long going for a coffee sounds like heaven! Small joys in life eh?

Magically Dark

Hi again! Another GDT post today for Sweet Escape Digis, and this is Dark Fairy! Really happy with her horns! I enjoyed doing the wings too.

Remember to always check the Sweet Escape Facebook Page for the latest offers! There may even be free digistamps with your purchase!

As I write this the current offer is 5 digis for $5, here is a link to the post in the facebook group with all the details of how to take advantage of this offer.

Here she is as a digi:

And here is my version in polychromo pencils on smooth kraft card:

I had been discussing colouring faces with a crafty friend and particularly using make-up videos on youtube where they describe how to do facial contouring. I knew Dark Fairy was going to get some strong facial bone structure so was able to share her as an example of what I mean. Watching make up videos is really useful,  they show you how to alter the shape of your face through make up which applies perfectly to colouring too!

Backing paper from Making Cards Magazine. I used a white posca pen for highlights.

Why not check out the Sweet Escape Digi shop for more magical creatures?

Are you brave enough?

Hi all! Popping on the blog today to share a colouring of a super digi "Merida" from Sweet Escape Digis!

This is a fan image, so not for sale but if you purchase from the shop you can get it as a freebie! It is always worth checking the Sweet Escape Digis Facebook Page for info on the latest offers!

(Click here for a direct link to the offer details and instructions in the facebook group.)

Currently you can get 5 digis for $5 AND this awesome fan image. Shop here!
(Allow 12 hours after purchase to receive the extra digistamp).

I admit, I just wanted to colour her hair! I also admit, I went wrong, and actually straight through the cardstock because I re-did an area too many times for the strength of my paper. Oops! However she still takes an okay photo but I don't think I can really give her to anyone now, erf.

As normal she is coloured with polychromo pencils on smooth kraft card with white posca pen highlights. I didn't pair her with a sentiment, was going to add it afterwards, but now she'll probably just end up in my art scrapbook as a nice memory.

Backing paper from Making Cards Magazine. Triangle enamel bling from La De Dah.

Thanks for joining me today! Please check out the Sweet Escape Digi Shop for many more super images that will be a joy to colour!
