Poor Purdie!

Firstly I have to apologise to owner and illustrator Amy from Witt & Sass for the horror I have subjected Purdie to. It could have been worse (Headless Purdie .....Clown "It" Purdie Hiding in a drain.....honestly drinking coffee does bad things to me) but I thought Purdie in her Halloween onesie might be a good plan! Then I added comedy eyeballs and the vampire mouth and she became, rather... frightening?

Introducing the new awesome Purdie's Halloween 4x8 Stamp Set from Witt and Sass! Mix and match to create you own Halloween outfit and accessories for Purdie!

So I've tried to make the eyeballs part of the costume (I added elastic, can you see?) and I thought adding fluffy slippers might lift the mood? (Also the light has been so fickle today that it's been hard to light my photos identically, apologies!) Do you think she's kinda cute from the neck down? Even with eyeball buttons?

All the elements I have used are included in the stamp set. The slippers are made from the front parts of the clown shoes, the eyeballs are part of the eyeball cluster, the onesie is just normal Purdie minus the bottom of her t-shirt and with a bit of a collar. The mouth is also part of the set, but it was a bit too wide so I took off a bit from either end. Voila! Slightly disturbing Halloween Purdie!

Thanks for braving my post! I love her, she makes me larf!  And glossy accents over eyeballs like this is FABULOUS, it might need to be my new go to bling embellishment, lol.

Wart-a-meh-loan Chubby!

My last project to blog using The Chubby Unicorn 4x8 Stamp Set from the Witt & Sass Stamp Company but actually, this was the first card I made! I really love the melonizing craft movement and often consider if a stamp would work well watermelon style. Also, I love it when people pronounce it wart-a-meh-lone, it makes me chuckle!

This is a tiny 10 x 10 card, sometimes it's fun to do something cute and tiny! :) I used papers from the stash, the star banner that is also part of the Chubby Unicorn set and then printed out my own greeting to go with her. She is coloured in copics and then I also added glossy accents to the seeds on her and the seeds in the stars. Hearts are also part of the set.

Really happy with how this turned out, working on this scale is really new to me, and I really enjoyed it! :) If you've seen enough of my makes using this set, and want to order your own, please click on the link below to head over to the shop!

Chubby Unicorn on a grass knoll

Hi again! It's the fourth project using the Chubby Unicorn 4x8 Stamp Set from Witt & Sass Stamp Company, and this time I also used a couple of the fab stencils you can use to build backgrounds for your feature stamps. I love messing around with stencils!

For this card I used Chubby again in a rainbow outfit, stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and coloured with copic pens. The heart details are also part of the Chubby Unicorn Set.

Then to make the background, I covered a 14x14cm square of card with (Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean and Wilted Violet) distress oxides, layered the "Stencil Layered Clouds" over the top and using a wet wipe removed a layer of the ink and voilĂ  clouds! :D
I then, on a separate piece of card, used the "Stencil BB (Background Builder) Hill" and (Cracked Pistachio, Twisted Citron) distress oxides to make a hillock. I then cut this out and layered it on top of the sky background.

Finally I added a diecut sun and rainbow ring (both nestabilities dies) and a section of flowery paper from the stash (an off-cut from one of the other unicorn cards).
I added some glossy accents to all the hearts (they look like real enamel bling with glossy accents) and some Wink of Stella to the underside of the clouds (through part of the stencil).

Interested in working with stencils? Why not check out the shop to see what is available?

Chubby Unicorn & her donut!

I don't know why I associate Chubby with a donut (ok maybe I do! lol) but I knew I had to make a donut and sprinkles for her and.. Yes, they are real sprinkles! (I did a varnish layer over the top, so there's no options to pick them off and eat them!) So back to another card using the brand new Chubby Unicorn 4x8 stamp set from Witt and Sass!

I went with a rainbow version of Chubby done in copic pens and stamped with Versafine Onyx Black. It works great with Copics, but I suggest you leave it for a while after stamping and before colouring to make sure the ink doesn't blur or bleed. Sentiment is also from the stamp set, I just coloured in the word "rainbow".

I love it when I can finally use part of my stash that I never had the perfect card for, the enamel donut with spinkles found it's perfect home. Papers are from the stash and I added some glitter to them, to up the bling.

This card is also for the #wscardchallenge as I was inspired by the challenge - Four patterns, enamel dots and glitter!  ( There wasn't a challenge featuring edible parts, lol!)

Chubby Unicorn Citrus Styley

Third card from the new Chubby Unicorn Stamp Set by Witt & Sass. I had tonnes of ideas for this stamp set, I didn't run out of ideas, just time! For this one I was inspired by citrus colours.

As I mentioned yesterday, there are some Witt & Sass card making challenges, to inspire your makes. Remember if you take part in a challenge to tag your picture with "#wscardchallenge." I was inspired by the challenge:Yellow & Green, Sparkle and Flowers.

For this card I used the Greeting and Chubby from the Unicorn Set. I used a glittery yellow background paper from the stash and some papers from Craft Sensations Summer Fruits 6x6 (Which I purchased at The Range) to use through the round windows. The topper is 3D foam mounted onto the base, so the windows are open showing the paper on the lower card level.

I added some little citrus coloured flowers from Wild Orchid. (Wild Orchid online shop is reopening on the 1st August apparently, with new owners.)

Chubby Unicorn 2 - Pink & Orange, Buttons, Squares

Back with card number two for Witt & Sass. This super cool unicorn is also included in The Chubby Unicorn Stamp Set! As is the awesome sentiment.

When customer receive their orders, they will also get invited to join into one of the W&S card challenges. So you are given some inspo, and invited to make a card using the ideas! I used the Challenge: Make a card using, pink and orange, buttons and squares. If you take part in the challenge and share your project in social media, make sure you use the #wscardchallenge so we can find it and you!

The papers are all from the stash. I stamped the images using my stamping platform and Versafine Onyx Black, coloured with copics. I also added buttons from the stash and some stickles for additional bling factor!

Chubby Unicorn Launched!

First project for the new DT at Witt & Sass Stamp Company! This is Chubby Unicorn! She is not only part of a great stamp set, but also the logo of the company. Because she is fabulous.

This is the 4x8 stamp set I used.  It stamps beautifully, crystal clear impressions and all the stamps are nicely cut.

You might be wandering about sizing, so I have to tell you, I asked the original artist and stamp owner if I could scan and resize Chubby so she was big enough for me to colour with coloured pencils, the way I like to. Luckily she said it was fine, so in my version she is twice the size she normally is. Generally it's good ettiquette to use stamps at the size they are intended, but if you want to blow something up, or use it differently for a project I also recommend asking the artist if it's ok.

So I added some cloud detail and stars and then one of the sentiments from the stamp set and coloured with polychromo pencils. I also finished the card with some white posca pen, stickles and glossy accents.

Background paper is from the stash, and she is on a 7x5" kraft card blank.

If you are not already, why not join up to the Witt and Sass facebook group? It's a great way to keep up to date with everything that's going on, keep and eye out for giveaways and prizes!
