Challenge 40 - Part 3

Third post for the Crafty Addicts post for Challenge No.40 on the blog!

Two great sponsors again, All Dressed Up (Prize of 2 images) and Lemon Shortbread (Prize of 3 images) and the theme is ATG or Add buttons or brads.

Unfortunately two of the DT had to leave before posting their projects with this gorgeous digi called "Over the Moon" from All Dressed Up.

Luckily I have used this stamp previously so thought I would reshare some pictures of it to thank them for sharing this digi with us and hopefully showing off how nice it is to colour and use!

I used polychromo pencils on Kraft card. This card was for a wedding commission :)

Cinderella :D

Really enjoyed making this commissioned card using "Frame-it Cinderella" by Bugaboo stamps. It's polychromos on kraft card and then some simple matting and layering in pinks. There are a lot of very old stash items used up in this, paper sets I have really loved and now have almost used up! :) Flowers are from Wild Orchid.

All dressed up - bride and groom.

Commissioned Wedding Congrats Card for the couple I recently made wedding invites for. This beautiful image is from All Dressed Up, and it was the only one that I thought was cute, but not saccharine or sickly or animé!

This stamp is called "Over The Moon", I had to remove the text when I printed it because I knew it was going to get at least partially covered. I printed it onto kraft card and coloured it with polychromos. Her invites were on kraft card, and had bunting, so I wanted to included them somewhere in this card too.

Here is a close up of the centre of the card.

Papers were all from the stash, and mainly freebies from magazines. Flowers from Prima and Wild Orchid. Stars from Shimelle. Bling from stash.

Dies used
Joy - Clouds
Die'sire - Traditional Bunting
X-cut - Butterfly
Marianne - Bird LR0137

Rustic Wedding Invites - with added bunting :)

Wanted to pop a few photos of the wedding invites I made earlier in the year for a long term customer :) It wasn't complicated so much as time consuming, so if you ever pay someone to make invites for you, and it maybe seems expensive, just guestimate how long each one will take!

The bride sent me links to a number of invites she liked on pinterest and we morphed them into her own special design.

Fonts are (chosen by bride) Edwardian Script ITC and Copperplate Gothic.
Card is Kendal Buff 270gsm
Cream Lace and 2 ply hessian string from ebay.
Bunting die from diesire
Bunting papers from the stash to fit a vintage pastels theme.

Boxed and ready to go. Bundles of ten.

A big thankyou to my friends who helped me get them done! :)

Garden Colouring....

I've been looking for a way to use parts of colouring books in my cards, for personal use, so I can do something with the images after I have enjoyed colouring them. It also occurred to me that they'd make pretty nice backgrounds just as they were!

This background image is from The Secret Garden - Available as a free download from The Adult Coloring Club. I have drawn two birds based on an element within the "colouring image" to make a feature for the card and added diecut bunting (Die'sire) , fence and watering can (Trimcraft). Birds and fork handles coloured with copics. They are meant to be a male and female bullfinch! :)

Autumn Anniversary Part 2.

This post is a sister post to one I made on the 11th Sept - Here!
I had to wait for their anniversary to pass, as I didn't want them to spot the card before I gave it to them!  :)

So the Autumnal colour inspiration came from a challenge on the "our Crafty Corner" blog... and I made two anniversary cards, this is the second.
This one though features "mice with balloons" a stamp by Wild Rose Studio (CL285)

Mice - Wild Rose Studio CL285 "Mice with Balloons"
Banners- Happy Day Clear Stamps (Magazine freebie)
The Doily stamp is from the Papermania Urban Stamps collection.
The Alphabet Set I used for the letters is from Studio G, set VS4191
Distress Inks - Squeezed Lemon, Ripe Persimmon and Spiced Marmalade.

Autumnal Anniversary

Taking Inspiration from the Challenge on Our Crafty Corner this week and made a couple of anniversary cards. Will have to post the other one when the event has passed but think I can get away with showing this one straight away!

So using an autumnal palette - Distress Inks - Squeezed Lemon, Ripe Persimmon and Spiced Marmalade, I washed over a white embossed doily pattern, stamped directly onto the cardstock. I also coloured heat embossed bunting ( some with initials) to add to the top corner. And then coloured in the owls with copics to match the colour scheme.

The owls are Bobunny Love Birds (SLB887) and I added them a branch to sit on.
The banners are all from a set of stamps called "Happy Day Clear Stamps" that were recently free on one of the craft mags.(Which one?? I can't remember...)
The Doily stamp is from the Papermania Urban Stamps collection.
The Alphabet Set I used for the letters is from Studio G, set VS4191
