Tenderness!

Hi everyone! This is my project featuring one of the new release digistamps from Little Blue Button Stamps. She is called Tenderness!

I coloured her with polychromos as normal, and tried to create a more animalistic look, like she might be part stag, part human; so I added some hair around her face and blended it into her hairline.

The digistamp has a very pretty set of flowers around her shoulders, but I really wanted to make a 3D flowery bower so I only simply shaded that part of the digi, incase any was visible through the feathers and flowers. Flowers are from Wild Orchid (Reopening very soon) and the other elements were from the stash.

As you can tell I really enjoyed doing her hair, an excellent digi to practice hair effects on! I decided to simply shape the corners and mount her on some wood effect paper from Joy - Tough Textures Paper Bloc. (12x12)

New release Lilly!

Hi everyone, back with a new release post for Little Blue Button and this is the fabulous Miss Lilly and a cat! :D

Isn't she cute? Love the kitty too, he was fun to colour :D I used polychromos on kraft card as usual and added white posca pen dots to her bow and dress.

I picked up the enamel bling from Hobbycrafts last time I went in, was in the sale! It's from the La-de-dah range.

Went for a simple sentiment and simple font - Zolano Serf BTN. I added a yellow pearl bling to the one corner. The paper is actually from a christmas freebie set from one of the crafts mags.

Thanks very much for visiting and reading this far. If you want to see more projects and more stamps from Little Blue Button, why not check out the facebook group?

Cosbucks?

Hi everyone! (Cross post to LBBS Blog) It's the 8th of the month so I am here with my new Little Blue Button DT project and... it's a PANDA! :D Or more specifically, Panda with cup! I love him, he was such fun to colour and I loved making him a bit coffee themed.

Happened to be at my friend Toni's house when I coloured this one up and she suggested the drink be from the famous brand "Cosbucks". Made me chuckle so I decided to include it, along with this little coffee related saying!

So this is polychromos on kraft. I added white posca pen hightlights and some glossy accents to the eyes. Around him and splodges of stickles and Nuvo jewel drops.

And here he is the shop if you are tempted? There are so many things you could do with this little guy, I kinda fancy doing something a bit more interesting with the glass part of his specs next, so may need to colour him again very soon!

Or why not check out the shop to see more great digis?

Warrior Princess

Back today with a new Little Blue Button DT Pick! (Cross Post) This time I chose the fabulous Warrior Princess! I was pretty excited to colour her tbh, she has amazeballs hair if you want to practice hair colouring, it looks beautiful even if you colour it simply! I also wanted to give her an ice princess kind of look!

I decided to pair her up with a quote/saying rather than a birthday greeting, so I could use the card for any occasion. I chose "Live every day with intention." I wanted something strong for her. (Font is Dawning of a New Day.)

She looks a bit blurry small, but you can click the image to make it larger. The background paper was from a Making Cards Freebie set and the bling was from the stash. Here she is in the shop if you want to have a look at the actual digistamp?

Loved making this card, couldn't stop myself adding some blue stickles to make her a bit sparkly and some glossy accents to make the gem in her sword shine!

New Release from LBBS!

New release from Little Blue Button Stamps to tempt you with, ideal for anyone who feels a bit horticultural or loves flowers! I made this as a mother's day card for a customer, but any kind of (especially spring) card would be suitable for this beautiful new Hyacinth digi.

I coloured the flowers with polychromo pencils on kraft card. Made a real change for me, colouring something flowery and leafy! The font is Apple Butter. I added some stickles to the ribbon and bow and some bling from the stash to the corners.

If you'd like to keep up with new releases and offer codes for the shop it might be worth joining the Little Blue Button Facebook group? Lots of ideas from the DT there too which might inspire you!

Sweet Dreams

(Cross post to LBB Blog!) Always love it when it's the 8th of the month and I can share by Little Blue Button DT pick with you! This beautiful digistamp is called Sweet Dreams!

I know this digi would be awesome for baby-congrats cards and young birthday cards but I also wanted to pair it up with a warm yet enduring proverb! It's such a sweet image!

I coloured her up with polychromos, some posca pen, some glossy accents and some stickles. It doesn't need to be limited to pinks but I thought with the gold it would add to the warmth!

Background paper from the stash. Font is East Coast Stationery. Bling from Shimelle.

Here she is in the shop if you would like to see her in digi format before I went mad with my crayoning lol! So looking forward to trying this out again in cool blues!

Little Queen LBBS New Release

Thought I needed to experiment a bit more with how I am using pencils. This is the new release "Little Queen" from Little Blue Button Stamps and I thought she would be perfect for an altered art canvas.

Because of how much gold I have used the colours alter a lot when I am photographing her, so apologies if she looks different in each photo.  This is an approx 12"x 12" canvas and I printed her onto A4 dark blue, soft textured paper. (If I can I will insert a pic of her at this stage, unfortunately though my SD card has corrupted and now I am struggling to recover the 5000 photos that were on it, erf!)

The polychromo pencils work well on any kind of coloured paper, but the over all tone alters a lot more on dark colours. In real life, her face is much brighter as the textured surface is very smooth and reflects more light. When I had finished colouring her I cut her out and glued her onto my decorated canvas.

Canvas was decoupaged book pages, followed by gelatos, stencils, frosted paste and acrylic paint. I also added some tando shapes around her painted in gold, some reclaimed jewellery parts for buttons, nuvo jewel drops in her hair and bling to her crown. Her eyes are covered in glossy accents, makes her look a bit more sad!

She is also a bit of a work in progress, I liked her at this stage so have paused to have a think. I might add another character to the picture, perhaps some text and maybe some more 3D elements. But for now I am going to live with her for a bit and see what feels right!

Nobody owns a cat.

It's the eighth of the month so I am here to share my new Little Blue Button DT Pick with you! (Cross post.) I chose "Girl with Kitty" this month and sorry but it's a bit of a cuteness overload! Love this digi, lots of detail to make it interesting to colour and some lovely options for texture!

I coloured her with polychromos as normal and added a quote that I thought went well with the image. It always feels like a privilege spending time with a cat. Well that's what my cat told me :) Font is Fineliner Script.

I was inspired by my friend Fiki for this stamp! So I did pink ombré hair!! :D Fiki always does super colouring on her LBB stamps :) Reminds me to be a bit more creative. I added posca paint spots to her bow and a touch of stickles to her top.

Here she is in the shop if you would like to see what the digistamp looks like?

Bling is from the stash and the background paper was a other freebie from Making Cards Magazine (Am trying to use them up and enjoying some fresh papers to use - I keep trying not to buy new paper, but these freebies dont count, lol!)

Why not visit LBB on facebook and see whats going on and also check out if there are money off offers before you purchase? :)

Happy Day!

Happy 1st of Feb and here is a the beautiful new release digi "Happy Day Anna" from Little Blue Button to welcome in the new month! Are you ready for spring? I am! And Anna seems to have a spring in her step too!

Love the movement in this digi, she was so much fun to colour! Really liked working on her hair and the little dog in his jacket! As normal I used polychromo pencils on kraft, with just a touch of stickles. Here are some close ups.

The background paper and bling are from the stash, and the paper is beyond ancient and it really was time it found it's perfect project, and I think this was it!

The font is Bernadette Rough and I thought it an ideal digi to add a "Just dashing by sentiment".

Procaffinating

Back again with another cross post from here to the Little Blue Button Stamps Blog.

I'm always attracted to any digi involving coffee, cos I am a bit of an enthusiast! Coffee and colouring! This time I chose the fabulous "Miss Lilly - Coffee Break" digistamp for my Design Team pick!

I really wanted to try and give her a fun and funky outfit, and struggled a bit with the spotty dress, it was so tempting to do it in one colour and go in afterwards with the posca pen, lol!

The fonts I used are Flange and Franklin Gothic. I saved this definition of "Procaffinating" on Pinterest a while back and thought it was perfect for us coffee drinkers!

She is coloured with polychromo pencils on kraft card  and a touch of posca pen on the eye highlights. Didn't add much bling this time, only as accents on the frame. Papers are all from the stash.

You might notice I added her in a Costa coffee cup and straw? I wanted to make it reflect my coffee drinking a bit more! It would be very easy to convert the cup into whatever style you fancied tho!

Click the picture below to check her out in the shop!

Happy New Year!

Happy first day of 2018! And starting as I mean to go on, here is the first blog post of the year! Sharing with you a new release from Little Blue Button, and she is called Tea Mei!

***NEWSFLASH Please use coupon new2018 in the LBB shop for 40% off your order - valid thru January 7th 2018! and includes this new release ***

She is so pretty! I decided to find an oriental kimono pattern online and add it by hand to the image, tho it was very tempting to paper-piece it too!

I had lots of ideas for her, and I love that with a digi! I thought she would look super nice, larger but cropped, and maybe a willow pattern design on the tea pot too? I coloured her with polychromo pencils on kraft and added some stickles and sequins to finish.

The font is: Bernadette Rough, which seems to have become my "go to" font of late :) Would love to be able to hand letter like that!

If you would like to see more of this new release, and the other, pop by the Little Blue Button Blog and have a look at all the DT inspiration!

Cat's Chorus?

Am so lucky to work on the LBB DT where it's ok to do a bit of a collab! I know designers collaborating, who'd have thought it? lol! (This post is cross posted on the LBB Blog).

For my DT choice today I have the super Caroling Sophie and.... she has some Knitty Kitty friends!

I loved this image of Sophie but thought she could do with some friends, hard to carol properly when you're snuggled deep in a cosy scarf! :) And we all know what delightful voices cats have when they sing!

I added the caroling cats digistamp to Sophie on the computer and then printed them out onto the topper together. I coloured them with polychromo pencils on kraft.  I added some Glossy Accents and Stickles as well as a few bits of posca pen. The papers are all from the stash. Font is Candy Buzz BTN.

Here is a bit of  a close up of the kitties!

I haven't released them as a digistamp yet, but you can buy super Caroling Sophie in the LBB Shop Now!
